Our Autism assessment process explained
- Fill in the form
- Choose a time that suits you for an initial call
- Once you decide to go ahead, our clinical team will send you (and your child’s school when relevant) some questionnaires to complete before your assessment
- Once you have returned your questionnaires, we will arrange two appointments – one with you and one with your child (when relevant). We will ask you about you or your child’s early development, how they are managing day-to-day as well as characteristics that you believe could be related to Autism.
- During the appointments, we will talk about what life is like; friends, school and hobbies and interests. We will complete some activities during the assessment so we can observe communication and interaction style
- After the assessment we will send a meaningful report detailing how the outcome was reached with our recommendations for onward support
- All our assessments also include a free follow up session to talk through your report and answer any questions you may have
